Frequently asked questions     Q: Do you take pets? A: Sorry, we don’t take pets unless the site is booked exclusively by a family or group.  Q: How far is Abercastle beach from the campsite and is it sandy? A: The beach is less than 100yds from the end of the property. Abercastle is a small natural inlet/harbour which is sandy with rock pools at low tide but also has mixed rock and shingle. It is a both a pleasure boat location with working fishing craft. Fresh crabs and lobsters are landed here on Sunday mornings and may be bought quay side. Q: How far is the nearest pub/restaurant? A: There are two pubs within two miles of the campsite, both of which serve food and are serviced by the Strumble Shuttle (a little coastal bus service) that stops at the entrance of the campsite! There are some very good restaurants you can read reviews on our information point on site. Q: How far is the nearest shop/garage? A: There are two shops and a post office / shop within 2.5 miles of the campsite.
