A Different sort of caravan - campsite…
Your own bit of PembrokeshireThere are just 5 secluded pitches here at Trellyn, each with their own covered campfire area,a picnic table and grill. You can really enjoy the peace and tranquility of your own space in the countryside, confident that when you return from the day out, you'll be on your own pitch without new neighbours. This what we are all about, a space of your own just yards from the sea to chill out and relax.
RockwoodThis is the first pitch you come to, and it is about 100 metres away from the showers. It is the closest pitch to the bread oven and wood store.
New in 2016 new images to follow but this is now facing due South with the woods to the back of the pitch providing a perfect shelter strip with loads of sun.
Our two Valley pitches offer sun traps with easy access to the facilities
Valley 1This is a grassy pitch, facing due South with the woodland to the rear and divided from pitch 2 by a Willow planted maze. It has a free standing shelter with a picnic table and campfire pit. It shares a toilet with Valley 2 .
It is very sheltered and even in the strongest blow, it affords great protection whilst enjoying loads of sun when it's shining. There is a small stream to the rear of the pitch which is easily accessed for cooling beers or dam building. It is a fairly level site so tents can be pitched in any direction. This pitch is approx. 170 metres from the showers and campsite entrance.
Valley 2This is a grass pitch, a little closer to the sea and separated form Valley 1 by the willow maze and has a small stream that is easily accessed for dam building or cooling your beers ! The campfire area is approx. 10 paces away from the pitch being slightly more secluded and bordered by the stream that straddles between the Valley and the Meadow. This pitch is approx. 170 metres from the showers and site entrance. This pitch was re-laid 2 years ago to make it level and well drained and takes pegs with ease.
Our Meadow camping pitches are the ideal place for a small group of friends or a couple of families to have a great holiday with easy access to the sea, which is just over a 100 metres away !
Lower MeadowCan we have the pitch shown on your website front page ?
Yes, is the answer- it really is like that for your stay. You will be staying closest to the beach, and are close at hand to our own private access down to the village and sea, just 100 metres away. This is by far the most popular pitch we have, which affords protection from the wind and is a great sun trap during the day with more than 2 acres for you to enjoy, only sharing with the upper Meadow, which is bit further up the valley away from the sea by about another 60 metres. There is a toilet between this pitch and the other meadow pitch, for your comfort as the facilities are approx. 200 metres away. This has slightly slopping areas and a flat area and generally a good position for a level tent can be found
Upper MeadowBacked up to a willow wood, only shared by wood pigeons and wild birds, this pitch offers shelter with space and early morning / mid-day sun. It loses the sun in late afternoon, but like all our pitches, when the wind blows our site offers great protection when other sites are having tents turned in to casualties.
There is even a toilet between the meadow pitches for your convenience, as it is about 200 metres back to the shower and facilities building. This pitch has a slight fall and has a smaller area of flatter ground and generally has longer grass, as we don't cut the meadow very often.
